We understand that you may have questions about our services, facilities, and archery in general. Below are answers to some of the most frequently asked questions
General Questions

Do I need to have prior archery experience to visit?
No experience is necessary! Our facility welcomes all skill levels, and our staff is happy to provide guidance for beginners.

Do I need to bring my own equipment?
No, our rental equipment is adjustable for all ages. We supply bow and arrows to try instinctive archery. We keep it simple so there is no experience needed, come give it a shot!

Is Buck Rub Outfitters open to the public, or do I need a membership?
Our range and store are open to the public, and no membership is required.
Pro Shop & Equipment

What brands of bows and crossbows do you carry?
For Compound Bows we carry Mathews, Bowtech, Bear, Diamond, Mission, Darton and Xpedition.
Traditional Bows we have a few different makes of Bear and Fleetwood.
For Crossbows we carry Ravin, Centerpoint, Barnett and Excalibur

Can I test a bow before purchasing it?
Yes! We have a 10 yd test range that allows you to test shoot bows and crossbows to find the best option for you.

Do you buy used bows or offer trade ins?
When you buy a new bow or crossbow from us, as a service to our customers we offer to sell your used bow on consignment.
We don't buy used equipment but if you're looking to sell, people have their best luck on Ebay or Craigslist.
Archery Range & Leagues

What are your range hours?
Our range hours can vary from our shop hours depending on leagues and events. If you have questions about our open range hours, we recommend calling for the most up to date information.

Do I need to make a reservation to use the range?
No reservations are needed for open shooting, but it doesn't hurt to call ahead to check our range availability. We only take reservations for lessons and groups larger than 6.

Do you offer group events or private range rentals?
Yes! We offer corporate events, birthday parties, and private group sessions. Contact us for booking details.
Lessons & Services

Do you offer archery lessons?
Yes, we offer private and group lessons for all skill levels.

What maintenance services do you provide?
If your bow or crossbow needs some work, give us a call or just stop by! We do anything from general maintenance, string and cable replacements, paper tuning, cam and limb repairs and more. We work on all brands but there are few special instances (ie. warranty work) that are only available for brands we carry.

Do I need an appointment for maintenance services?
Most services do not require an appointment. Walk in anytime we're open for help. The only services we do by APPOINTMENT ONLY is Papertuning and Lessons.
